Sonia Tuma is AFSC's Associate General Secretary for Global Cohesion. She formerly served as the regional director for the AFSC’s West region.
Sonia’s academic background is in International Relations, with a special focus on political economy and the interplay between nationalism and feminist movements. In addition to work with the AFSC, she has been a researcher, educator, organizer, and activist for more than 25 years.
Sonia is a trained mediator and facilitator who has worked with community groups and nonprofit organizations to develop shared visions and creative, strategic programming toward social change.
