Kennedy Akolo is the regional director for the AFSC’s work in Africa and a development practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in the sector. In the regional director role, Kennedy provides strategic and creative leadership to help lay the groundwork for long term peace with justice with an approach that involves healing from trauma of violence and rebuilding a sense of community in Africa. Kennedy holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development from United States International University (USIU) in Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from Kenyatta University, also in Nairobi.
