Adrian Alvarez is a Fellow with Los Angeles Roots for Peace. He works closely with the Roots for Peace team to execute our youth programming. This includes supporting our Summer Freedom School and helping develop and carry out a strong youth-led Organizing Program. Our program supports youth to gain organizing skills towards building power and win changes that impact their lives and that of their communities in South Central and the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Adrian attended UCLA, where he became editor of La Gente Newspaper and joined the MEChA organizations, where he was introduced to serious political, social, environmental, and educational organizing.
